(English Abstract)
In wireless sensor networks, a sensor positioning scheme is one of core technologies for a lot of sensor applications. The existing sensor positioning schemes cause many errors since they do not consider holes in real world environments. In order to solve the problems, we propose a sensor positioning scheme considering holes in wireless sensor networks. In case the holes exist in a network, after the proposed scheme detects holes by considering the density of neighboring nodes, it estimates a sensor position through the distance correction based on cumulative hole boundary sensors. As a result, the proposed scheme guarantees the high accuracy of sensor positioning when the holes exist in a network. To show the superiority of the proposed scheme, we compare it with the existing positioning scheme. Our experimental results show that the proposed scheme significantly improves the accuracy of sensor positioning over the existing scheme.
